We brewed this breakfast stout with lots of dark and roasted malts to give it a rich roasty flavor and nice full body. We then aged this beer on dark roast coffee beans from our friends at Homestead Coffee Roasters before being aged in Maple Syrup Bouron barrels with blood orange puree. The result is a hearty stout with notes of coffee, chocolate, caramel, toffee and bourbon that has a slight acidity on the finish. Cheers!
